DESCRIPTION:Intro to Rope Bondage is the first step for people interested in learning to tie with each other. \nThe emphasis of this course is to accompany the participants on their path into a joyful and safe practice of rope bondage\, Shibari/Kinbaku. We go through basic techniques\, knots & frictions\, safety and consent\, movement\, communication\, and artistic representation. Participants will be able to tie with each other in a joyful and interesting way. We understand each class as directed at both\, the person in ropes as well as the person tying. \nContents\n\n1st Friday per month: Single & Double column ties. The basic knots\n2nd Friday per month: Frictions and Hitches. How to keep the ropes in place\n3rd Friday per month: Upper body ties with multiple ropes – “Takate Kote”\n4th Friday per month: Lower body ties – Hip harnesses\n5th Friday per month: Wild card\n\nAll classes contain various aspects of safety and consent for shibari and other play. \nThis class is a great opportunity to try out these techniques. Solo participants are welcome\, and we encourage you to pair up with others or join an existing group. However\, please note that active practice for solo participants cannot be guaranteed. \nParticipants of the intro to rope series have free access to the open jam directly after the class.

DESCRIPTION:Play fighting is a completely different way of engaging with other people. The way we move\, think\, and relate to our environment changes in this type of interaction. This group activity lets participants challenge each other for a play fight. All constellations are welcome.  \n\n\n\nIn a safe environment\, participants can challenge themselves and each other to fight with each other in a playful and joyful way. Not winning but experiencing is the focus of this monthly event. At play fighting\, we will start with an introduction that covers motivation\, safety\, consent\, and expectations. \n\n\n\nAfterwards\, it’s the participants’ space and time to experience play fights themselves.

SUMMARY:Shibari Live Drawing
DESCRIPTION:Shibari Live Drawing differs from usual live drawing sessions in two major ways. For one\, the poses that can be reached with the help of ropes are very different from anything live drawing models could assume on their own\, e.g. suspensions.  \nOn the other hand\, those poses are short living\, which means that artists are not only met with unusual poses but also with less time to catch them.  \nIn two Shibari performances by different Shibari practitioners from the community\, the participants will meet different body types every time.  \nAll levels welcome\, all media welcome (photography is dependent on the performer’s individual wishes and only as long as it does not disturb the other participants).  \n\n\n\n\n\n

In this class we will discuss intermediate level impact play\, including: heavy impact\, improvised implements\, fists/knees\, and safety considerations.  \n\n\n\nIn the first part of class we will cover all the theoretical info\, and the second part of class will be hands-on. Come with a partner and bring your toys to get pointers\, or come solo and try some things out on yourself. DESCRIPTION:Intro to Rope Bondage is the first step for people interested in learning to tie with each other. \nThe emphasis of this course is to accompany the participants on their path into a joyful and safe practice of rope bondage\, Shibari/Kinbaku. We go through basic techniques\, knots & frictions\, safety and consent\, movement\, communication\, and artistic representation. Participants will be able to tie with each other in a joyful and interesting way. We understand each class as directed at both\, the person in ropes as well as the person tying. \nContents\n\n1st Friday per month: Single & Double column ties. The basic knots\n2nd Friday per month: Frictions and Hitches. How to keep the ropes in place\n3rd Friday per month: Upper body ties with multiple ropes – “Takate Kote”\n4th Friday per month: Lower body ties – Hip harnesses\n5th Friday per month: Wild card\n\nAll classes contain various aspects of safety and consent for shibari and other play. \nThis class is a great opportunity to try out these techniques. Solo participants are welcome\, and we encourage you to pair up with others or join an existing group. However\, please note that active practice for solo participants cannot be guaranteed. \nParticipants of the intro to rope series have free access to the open jam directly after the class.

DESCRIPTION:Play fighting is a completely different way of engaging with other people. The way we move\, think\, and relate to our environment changes in this type of interaction. This group activity lets participants challenge each other for a play fight. \nIn a safe environment\, participants can challenge themselves and each other to fight with each other in a playful and joyful way. Not winning but experiencing is the focus of this monthly event. At play fighting\, we will start with an introduction that covers motivation\, safety\, consent\, and expectations. \nAfterwards\, it’s the participants’ space and time to experience play fights themselves.

They start with a conversation. \nThis class explores the often-overlooked art of pre-scene negotiation: talking about what we want\, what we’re curious about\, what we’re not interested in\, and what we might need\, to feel comfortable exploring together. \nWe’ll look at consent as something more nuanced than simply asking “is this okay?” and explore how to have conversations about boundaries\, expectations\, communication\, risk\, safer practices\, and what happens if something changes along the way. \nThrough discussion\, practical exercises and a few scenarios to think through\, we’ll practise asking useful questions\, communicating our own needs\, and listening to the answers we get\, including the answers we might not have hoped for. \nNegotiation isn’t about taking the mystery or spontaneity out of a scene. It’s about creating enough trust and understanding that everyone can actually enjoy what comes next.
