DESCRIPTION:There are classes on all sorts of “hard skills” when it comes to topping: how to throw a flogger\, how to tie a certain harness\, how to make people bend to your will. This class is about the experience of topping. How does one become good as a Top\, generally? Just like bottoming\, topping is a skill that can be developed. \nThis class is for aspiring Tops\, Dominants\, and any D-type who wants to better their skills in the art of being in charge. We will discuss cultivating attentiveness\, creative problem solving\, as well as how to assume risks in order to get what you want. We will also cover playing within your area of expertise – and how to successfully push outside of your comfort zone (and hopefully of the person bottoming).

Participants will be able to tie with each other in a joyful and interesting way. The basic knots\n2nd Friday per month: Frictions and Hitches. It’s about creating meaning\, marking transitions\, and telling our brains\, “Hey\, this moment matters.” \nIn this class we’ll explore why rituals show up in kink\, what they can do for our scenes and relationships\, and how to create rituals that actually feel like you\, whether that’s a carefully choreographed power exchange or just taking three deep breaths before asking\, “So… what are we doing today?” \nCome curious. Leave with a few new ideas and probably at least one oddly specific habit.

DESCRIPTION:Many kinksters are also in ethical non-monogamous relationships or have multiple play partners. Many of those are stumbling into these constellations on a trial and error basis and it takes a lot of work and effort to unlearn drilled in behaviours from the world of monogamy. In this class\, we are offering some general suggestions and many little tools to help people navigate poly and kink\, specifically power relationships. We are not telling you how you should do it but rather what problems can arise in certain situations and how to circumvent them or to deal with them head on.\n\n\n\nBring your curiosity\, some note taking material and as many of your partners and crushes as you can. There will be motors\, hand cranks\, rods\, connectors\, joints\, sliders\, and tools for us all to make a functional machine together. And the best part: after making it\, we need to see if it actually works.* Team work makes the dream work! \nYou don’t need to have any tools or skills\, just curiosity. DESCRIPTION:While a lot of thought and energy and practice and so on and so forth can be put into tying\, we are also all facing challenges in our everyday lives that are less and less bearable. Ropes can also be used to forget about all that shit out there\, all the fascism\, the economy\, the obliteration of human rights\, the climate\, and everything else that is bleak. It’s not a failure to just want to stop for just a moment.  \nIn this guided dissociation\, we will be building a palace in our minds and with our ropes. We will meander through gardens and participate in lustful banquets\, we will fly over landscapes and meet with creatures who we might want to engage with or just watch from a distance. \nIn this journey\, narrated and guided by Barkas\, participants are invited to turn their brains off for a couple hours\, take a rope and either on themselves or with someone else\, just escape into a fantastic world.  \nDisclaimer: We acknowledge that dissociation can amount to a condition that causes sever pressure and suffering for individuals. This experience is NOT a mockery or a belittling of the mental health conditions associated with dissociation. We ask participants to listen to their own needs and boundaries and provide mental health first aid as well as a quiet area to retreat.
