SUMMARY:Intimate Mummification
DESCRIPTION:For this session\, participants are invited to explore intimacy in the process of mummification. As a form of heavy bondage\, mummification has been described as a way to feel\, to not feel\, to heal and to submit\, but what if it is also a way to connect with someone or yourself intimately? Let’s explore that! You can also expect to exchange experiences\, stories and tips with other attendees. \n\n\n\nAll levels are welcome. We encourage you to bring a material – can be any type – with you for mummification. If this is your first dips into mummification and you are not sure what media you’d like to use\, rope can do too! You do not need a partner for this workshop – come as you are. \n\n\n\nAbout the instructor \n\n\n\nMy name is Shayna. I like bondage art\, especially heavy bondage such as mummification. When I participate in these activities\, I’m interested in expressing and exploring connection between humans under the cultural and social contexts we are/were in. DESCRIPTION:The Tuesday All Level runs on an 8-week rotation. At the start of each rotation we introduce a new harness structure. Over the subsequent 7 weeks we then approach that structure from multiple different directions and purposes\, both technical and interpersonal. How can we break down and alter the harness to make it work in certain ways? Can we tie it while moving/dancing/sitting/playfighting? How does it behave in suspension? How can we make it ornate\, or comfortable\, or robust? We also build skills and habits to keep the focus on the interaction between humans rather than the pattern. DESCRIPTION:This series of events aims to create a safe and community-focused space for Black\, Indigenous and Persons of Color who love rope. \n\n\n\nThis edition of the BIPOC Jam will start with activities to get to know each other\, and then a Community Skillshare on Tying as Sculpturing the Body\, facilitated by soya @soyasabi. We will explore simplified ways to tie our body and/or other bodies & beings as if we are making living sculptures. Feel free to bring plants\, fabric\, and anything that you want to bond with. DESCRIPTION:Join us on an exploration of a very exciting type of kinky play: shaving your partner with a straight razor. The preparation\, the anticipation\, the play around sharp objects\, the touch\, the closeness\, and the result are all parts of this kinky exploration. SUMMARY:Differential Geometry for P*rverts
DESCRIPTION:Kink\, and within it rope bondage\, is often seen through one particular lens\, that of eroticism\, but what if we are looking for similarities in completely different fields?Higher mathematics doesn’t seem to have anything in common with rope bondage but only a quick look offers a vast variety of tools that can be embedded in the context of rope bondage. After all\, tying rope onto someone is nothing but applied differential geometry. \n\n\n\nWe will look at triangles and their behaviour when we leave a flat plane. We are using the Pythagorean theorem for measuring distances on Euclidean surfaces and see how Gauss\, Riemann\, and Einstein made it possible to do that on curved surfaces.A bit of general relativity with its geodesics and relativistic mechanics can help us understand some of the intricacies of rope bondage. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is first and foremost for people who wonder\, who are curious and not only for those with a strong interest in mathematics\, physics\, and engineering. The contexts we will use will enable participants to understand ropes better and help them with trouble shooting \n\n\n\nDetails
