DESCRIPTION:Many of us are familiar with the concept of consensual nonconsent (CNC): a scenario where the folks involved agree to play that may appear nonconsensual. This can look like anything from using a safeword so “no” doesn’t mean “stop\,” to roleplaying being made to do things you “don’t want\,” to scenes with enacted violence like forced entry or kidnapping. \nWith such a wide range of things that can fall under CNC\, individual approaches may vary wildly. In this class we will discuss how to negotiate for CNC and create the container for play. We will also cover what it can look like to push boundaries on purpose\, and how that can feel as either a top or a bottom\, as well as risk mitigation and managing self image as folks oriented towards this kind of play.

DESCRIPTION:Intro to Rope Bondage is the first step for people interested in learning to tie with each other. \nThe emphasis of this course is to accompany the participants on their path into a joyful and safe practice of rope bondage\, Shibari/Kinbaku. We go through basic techniques\, knots & frictions\, safety and consent\, movement\, communication\, and artistic representation. Participants will be able to tie with each other in a joyful and interesting way. We understand each class as directed at both\, the person in ropes as well as the person tying. \nCurriculum \n\n\n1st Friday per month: Single & Double column ties. The basic knots\n2nd Friday per month: Frictions and Hitches. How to keep the ropes in place \n3rd Friday per month: Upper body ties with multiple ropes – “Takate Kote”\n4th Friday per month: Lower body ties – Hip harnesses\n5th Friday per month: Wild card\n\nAll classes contain various aspects of safety and consent for shibari and other play.  \nParticipants of the intro to rope series have free access to the open jam directly after the class.

DESCRIPTION:Play fighting is a completely different way of engaging with other people. The way we move\, think\, and relate to our environment changes in this type of interaction. This group activity lets participants challenge each other for a play fight. All constellations are welcome.  \n\n\n\nIn a safe environment\, participants can challenge themselves and each other to fight with each other in a playful and joyful way. Not winning but experiencing is the focus of this monthly event. At play fighting\, we will start with an introduction that covers motivation\, safety\, consent\, and expectations. \n\n\n\nAfterwards\, it’s the participants’ space and time to experience play fights themselves.

DESCRIPTION:While a lot of thought and energy and practice and so on and so forth can be put into tying\, we are also all facing challenges in our everyday lives that are less and less bearable. Ropes can also be used to forget about all that shit out there\, all the fascism\, the economy\, the obliteration of human rights\, the climate\, and everything else that is bleak. It’s not a failure to just want to stop for just a moment.  \nIn this guided dissociation\, we will be building a palace in our minds and with our ropes. We will meander through gardens and participate in lustful banquets\, we will fly over landscapes and meet with creatures who we might want to engage with or just watch from a distance. \nIn this journey\, narrated and guided by Barkas\, participants are invited to turn their brains off for a couple hours\, take a rope and either on themselves or with someone else\, just escape into a fantastic world.  \nDisclaimer: We acknowledge that dissociation can amount to a condition that causes sever pressure and suffering for individuals. This experience is NOT a mockery or a belittling of the mental health conditions associated with dissociation. We ask participants to listen to their own needs and boundaries and provide mental health first aid as well as a quiet area to retreat.

We will clear up common myths\, discuss the applications and ethics of consent-based erotic hypnosis (hypnokink)\, and review evidence-based findings on hypnosis and\, further\, on BDSM and hypnokink.\nThe session includes live demonstrations and optional opportunities for participants to experience trance for themselves.\nThis workshop provides the foundation for Hypnokink 201: Practical Mindplay Lab\, which focuses on hands-on skill development\, scene planning\, and supervised practice.

Not winning but experiencing is the focus of this monthly event. This 2 part class encompasses a vast range of possibilities\, from “real” looking role play to actual methods used by health care professionals. This class is taught by a health care professional and includes real methods and tools. \nTopics include:\n\nSafety stuff! Body fluids\, barriers\, preparation and cleaning of equipment\, where to get supplies and what you can DIY at home\nHow to look like you know what you’re doing: putting on gloves\, asking basic history questions\, using a stethoscope\, etc\nBasic physical examination patterns: inspect\, touch\, listen\, movement\, reflexes\nBody handling: cutting off clothing\, immobilizing neck\, immobilizing limbs\, turning/rolling\, cleaning/washing\n⁠⁠Genital examinations and interventions: enemas\, prostates\, catheterization (vs sounding)\, pelvic/speculum examination\, breast examination (I know\, I know\, technically not genitals\, sue me)\nSome suggestions for how these can be turned into scenes\, whether realistic or ridiculous\n\n\n⁠⁠Trigger warning: Folks with trauma around medical interactions should be aware of the potential for triggers\, especially given this class offers realistic\, rather than kink-forward\, medical play. DESCRIPTION:This hands-on workshop builds on the foundations covered in Consent\, Control\, and a Little Mindplay and is designed for participants who are ready to begin practicing hypnosis in a kink context. \nThrough guided partner exercises\, participants will develop practical skills in assessing responsiveness\, planning a scene\, induction\, deepening\, fractionation\, safe emergence\, and post-hypnosis care.\nThe focus of this workshop is skill development\, safety\, and confidence-building through supervised practice. Participants will have the opportunity to both experience and facilitate hypnotic exercises in a structured\, consent-focused environment.\nParticipants may attend with a partner or solo. Practice partners are not guaranteed\, and observing is always welcome.
