DESCRIPTION:Shibari Live Drawing differs from usual live drawing sessions in two major ways. For one\, the poses that can be reached with the help of ropes are very different from anything live drawing models could assume on their own\, e.g. suspensions.  \nOn the other hand\, those poses are short living\, which means that artists are not only met with unusual poses but also with less time to catch them.  \nIn two Shibari performances by different Shibari practitioners from the community\, the participants will meet different body types every time.  \nAll levels welcome\, all media welcome (photography is dependent on the performer’s individual wishes and only as long as it does not disturb the other participants).  \n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Exploring Sadomasochism
DESCRIPTION:We tend to see certain images over and over in popular media: sadists who are cold\, detached\, brutal; masochists who are self-sabotaging and weak. As kinksters we know there are many more ways to be both of these things\, but what are they and how do you figure out which fits you best? What is so fun about playing with pain?\nAre you someone who likes pushing people emotionally and seeing their face squirm\, or would you rather hit hard and ask questions later? Do you want to be quickly beaten into submission\, or strung out for a long time before you get what’s coming to you? Is your inner sadist a schoolyard bully or a strict interrogator? As a masochist are you a pathetic punching bag or a steadfast devotee? \nIn this workshop\, we will explore ways to find out what things really delight you about sadomasochism (from either side of it). Once we’ve identified these things\, how do we integrate them into our self image? What does it say about us if we get turned on by torture? Discussion will include ways to affirm yourself\, ask for support\, and still maintain your power as a player. \nDetails\n\nDate and Time: February 19th\, 6.30pm\nDoors open 30min prior to the event\nDuration: ~2.5h\nFee: $35/person (low barrier options available at the door)\nPrerequisites: None\nMaterial to bring: Note taking materials\nFor individuals or pairs: Any Constellation welcome\nWho is this for: Queer and Friends\n\nPlease have a look at our policies and safety rules. There is a single washroom for all with a handle bar and an air hand dryer. We have unscented soap\, and we run an industrial air purifier automatically. Studio Allegory has a kitchen corner with a kettle and a coffee maker\, as well as a mini fridge and a microwave. Studio Allegory also has a quiet room equipped with fidget toys\, colouring books\, blankets\, noise cancelling earmuffs\, and stuffed animals. Upon request we can provide closed captions for our workshops running on a screen. We have masks for a small donation.  \n\nCancellation and refund policy:\n\nIf Studio Allegory has to cancel an event\, we will either refund ticket holders or transfer tickets to similar events in the future\, depending on the wishes of the ticket holder.  \nCancellation by participants: Cancellation before 48h prior to the start of the event entitles the ticket holder to a full refund. SUMMARY:Sharps and Needles
DESCRIPTION:In this class Annix will share some of the risks when playing with sharps and blood\, while also covering safer station setup\, basics of piercing\, wound care\, and cleanliness.  \n\n\n\nThey will also share more detailed medical risks\, procedures\, and information to help equip you with more safety measures and responses. After the discussion part of the class everyone will follow along with Annix to set up a safer sharps play station\, administer a needle to oneself or a classmate\, remove needle(s)\, provide wound care\, and station clean up. All materials will be provided\, though you are welcome to bring your own materials. Wear something comfortable\, bring water\, and be sure to eat about 30-60 minutes before class.  \n\n\n\nA pro-domme and harm-reduction worker with a life-long obsession with sharps and blood. Annix is continuously learning new things to help deepen and improve their sharps practice. Some of their experience includes working as an assistant to hook suspension performers\, self piercing since 2004\, classes (online and in person) on sharps play\, sharps cleanliness and wound care\, and doing skill shares with a professional piercer. Their first aid and harm reduction training also plays a role in how they approach their practice. This barrier free newcomer orientation helps people who are brand new to take their first steps into the fascinating world of kink. \nWhat to expect\nPart 1 — The first part is a conversation with the participants about the world of kink: Etiquette online and offline\, expectations\, dress codes at events\, possibilities and some recommendations\, especially for single folks. \nPart 2 —We go through a few of the most common kinks: bondage\, impact\, Dominance/submission\, fetishes\, etc. Participants can see how it feels to hold a flogger or be tied up. \nPart 3 — The last part is all about the open questions of the participants: Where to go from here? What to do with this or that fantasy? How to find someone to play with? And many more questions answered.
