The narrative invites us to witness a delicate dance between control and surrender\, set against a backdrop of racial identity and cultural difference. It is a rare opportunity to see how two individuals navigate the nuances of radical honesty while maintaining a deeply creative and disciplined bond. \nFollowing our time spent within the atmosphere of their story\, we will transition into a live discussion with the creators of the documentary\, Beatrice and Renée\, moderated by Andrea Rimon. DESCRIPTION:The role of disabled people in revolutionary struggle has been largely erased in the public memory. In truth\, disabled people have played an important role in theorizing\, planning\, and enacting revolution across the globe; many of the great figures of history that you are already familiar with lived with significant chronic health conditions that informed their thinking and methods alike. DESCRIPTION:Sharps and sadism anyone? In this class we explore how to place needles in a way that creates pressure and causes more pain/sensation to the person getting stabbed. You will be shown a range from simple to more extreme types of pain buttons\, different placement and removal options. Specific safety and considerations will be discussed\, but we will NOT go over the basics of piercing and sharps safety in this class.\nNeedle experience and some materials required.\n\nMandatory Materials to bring:\n\n\nGloves\nSharps container\nNeedles (Must be hypodermic or hollow piercing needles. Several gauges encouraged but not mandatory).\nPrep pads ex. SUMMARY:Exploring Sadomasochism
DESCRIPTION:We tend to see certain images over and over in popular media: sadists who are cold\, detached\, brutal; masochists who are self-sabotaging and weak. As kinksters we know there are many more ways to be both of these things\, but what are they and how do you figure out which fits you best? What is so fun about playing with pain?\nAre you someone who likes pushing people emotionally and seeing their face squirm\, or would you rather hit hard and ask questions later? Do you want to be quickly beaten into submission\, or strung out for a long time before you get what’s coming to you? Is your inner sadist a schoolyard bully or a strict interrogator? As a masochist are you a pathetic punching bag or a steadfast devotee? \nIn this workshop\, we will explore ways to find out what things really delight you about sadomasochism (from either side of it). Once we’ve identified these things\, how do we integrate them into our self image? What does it say about us if we get turned on by torture? SUMMARY:Sharps and Needles
DESCRIPTION:In this class Annix will share some of the risks when playing with sharps and blood\, while also covering safer station setup\, basics of piercing\, wound care\, and cleanliness.  \n\n\n\nThey will also share more detailed medical risks\, procedures\, and information to help equip you with more safety measures and responses. After the discussion part of the class everyone will follow along with Annix to set up a safer sharps play station\, administer a needle to oneself or a classmate\, remove needle(s)\, provide wound care\, and station clean up. All materials will be provided\, though you are welcome to bring your own materials. Wear something comfortable\, bring water\, and be sure to eat about 30-60 minutes before class.  \n\n\n\nA pro-domme and harm-reduction worker with a life-long obsession with sharps and blood. Annix is continuously learning new things to help deepen and improve their sharps practice. Some of their experience includes working as an assistant to hook suspension performers\, self piercing since 2004\, classes (online and in person) on sharps play\, sharps cleanliness and wound care\, and doing skill shares with a professional piercer. Their first aid and harm reduction training also plays a role in how they approach their practice.
