DESCRIPTION:Kink is embedded in the circuits of the social as is any other practice with the exception that arguably in kink\, we are dealing with vulnerabilities that somehow seem to differentiate it from any other cultural practice; and it is not without controversies. In the eyes of society\, kink is already controversial but there are also controversies within the kink scene. From practicing to accepting\, from tolerating to shaming\, different practices as well as different approaches to practices have always and will always lead to controversies within the field of practitioners. \nIn this Discussion\, we are picking up some of these controversies and\, without trying to settle them\, we are holding space for an open debate about differing views.

DESCRIPTION:This hands-on workshop builds on the foundations covered in Consent\, Control\, and a Little Mindplay and is designed for participants who are ready to begin practicing hypnosis in a kink context. \nThrough guided partner exercises\, participants will develop practical skills in assessing responsiveness\, planning a scene\, induction\, deepening\, fractionation\, safe emergence\, and post-hypnosis care.\nThe focus of this workshop is skill development\, safety\, and confidence-building through supervised practice. Participants will have the opportunity to both experience and facilitate hypnotic exercises in a structured\, consent-focused environment.\nParticipants may attend with a partner or solo. Practice partners are not guaranteed\, and observing is always welcome. This 2 part class encompasses a vast range of possibilities\, from “real” looking role play to actual methods used by health care professionals. This class is taught by a health care professional and includes real methods and tools. \nTopics include:\n\nSafety stuff! Body fluids\, barriers\, preparation and cleaning of equipment\, where to get supplies and what you can DIY at home\nHow to look like you know what you’re doing: putting on gloves\, asking basic history questions\, using a stethoscope\, etc\nBasic physical examination patterns: inspect\, touch\, listen\, movement\, reflexes\nBody handling: cutting off clothing\, immobilizing neck\, immobilizing limbs\, turning/rolling\, cleaning/washing\n⁠⁠Genital examinations and interventions: enemas\, prostates\, catheterization (vs sounding)\, pelvic/speculum examination\, breast examination (I know\, I know\, technically not genitals\, sue me)\nSome suggestions for how these can be turned into scenes\, whether realistic or ridiculous\n\n\n⁠⁠Trigger warning: Folks with trauma around medical interactions should be aware of the potential for triggers\, especially given this class offers realistic\, rather than kink-forward\, medical play. This class will include medical examination of genitals which can be dysphoric for some folks. SUMMARY:The first poke - Needle & Sharps 101
DESCRIPTION:The play with needles and sharps is super exciting and titillating but there are a few things to know before your first poke for pleasure. In this class MxAnnix will share some of the risks when playing with sharps and blood\, while also covering safer station setup\, basics of piercing\, wound care\, and cleanliness.  \n\n\n\nThey will also share more detailed medical risks\, procedures\, and information to help equip you with more safety measures and responses. After the discussion part of the class everyone will follow along with Annix to set up a safer sharps play station\, administer a needle to oneself or a classmate\, remove needle(s)\, provide wound care\, and station clean up. All materials will be provided\, though you are welcome to bring your own materials.
