There are poses\, dynamics\, forces\, and movements possible that wouldn’t occur in everyday life and this bears risks for both the person in ropes and the person tying. \nThis class\, led by Dr. Marina Liarsky\, offers ways for both sides on the ropes to prepare for the most common practices\, avoid the most common injuries\, as well as possible approaches to therapy in case of an injury. \nThe workshop includes a presentation\, demonstrations\, and practice time with a specific focus on injury management and prevention.

DESCRIPTION:Play fighting is a completely different way of engaging with other people. The way we move\, think\, and relate to our environment changes in this type of interaction. This group activity lets participants challenge each other for a play fight. \nIn a safe environment\, participants can challenge themselves and each other to fight with each other in a playful and joyful way. Not winning but experiencing is the focus of this monthly event. At play fighting\, we will start with an introduction that covers motivation\, safety\, consent\, and expectations. \nAfterwards\, it’s the participants’ space and time to experience play fights themselves.

DESCRIPTION:The play with needles and sharps is super exciting and titillating but there are a few things to know before your first poke for pleasure. In this class MxAnnix will share some of the risks when playing with sharps and blood\, while also covering safer station setup\, basics of piercing\, wound care\, and cleanliness.  \n\n\n\nThey will also share more detailed medical risks\, procedures\, and information to help equip you with more safety measures and responses. After the discussion part of the class everyone will follow along with Annix to set up a safer sharps play station\, administer a needle to oneself or a classmate\, remove needle(s)\, provide wound care\, and station clean up. All materials will be provided\, though you are welcome to bring your own materials. For one\, the poses that can be reached with the help of ropes are very different from anything live drawing models could assume on their own\, e.g. suspensions.  \nOn the other hand\, those poses are short living\, which means that artists are not only met with unusual poses but also with less time to catch them.  \nIn two Shibari performances by different Shibari practitioners from the community\, the participants will meet different body types every time.  \nAll levels welcome\, all media welcome (photography is dependent on the performer’s individual wishes and only as long as it does not disturb the other participants).  \n\n\n\n\n\n
