DESCRIPTION:Shibari Live Drawing differs from usual live drawing sessions in two major ways. For one\, the poses that can be reached with the help of ropes are very different from anything live drawing models could assume on their own\, e.g. suspensions.  \nOn the other hand\, those poses are short living\, which means that artists are not only met with unusual poses but also with less time to catch them.  \nIn two Shibari performances by different Shibari practitioners from the community\, the participants will meet different body types every time.  \nAll levels welcome\, all media welcome (photography is dependent on the performer’s individual wishes and only as long as it does not disturb the other participants).  \n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:The play with needles and sharps is super exciting and titillating but there are a few things to know before your first poke for pleasure. In this class MxAnnix will share some of the risks when playing with sharps and blood\, while also covering safer station setup\, basics of piercing\, wound care\, and cleanliness.  \n\n\n\nThey will also share more detailed medical risks\, procedures\, and information to help equip you with more safety measures and responses. After the discussion part of the class everyone will follow along with Annix to set up a safer sharps play station\, administer a needle to oneself or a classmate\, remove needle(s)\, provide wound care\, and station clean up. All materials will be provided\, though you are welcome to bring your own materials. In this class\, we are offering some general suggestions and many little tools to help people navigate poly and kink\, specifically power relationships. We are not telling you how you should do it but rather what problems can arise in certain situations and how to circumvent them or to deal with them head on.\n\n\n\nBring your curiosity\, some note taking material and as many of your partners and crushes as you can. They are exposed to sweat and tears and other things while making sure that nobody drops. So\, let’s give them the bit of love and care they deserve. \nThe evening is there for people to sit together and chat about what our ropes have already seen. Let’s give them the warmth of a flame and the coolness of jojoba oil. Let’s get the uneven tensions of individual fibres back in place and even out the ends. \nWith tips and tricks from our rope maintenance expert Daremo and materials needed to care for our tools\, we will spend the evening together to give our ropes the love they deserve and extend their lifespan. \nAnd for the crafty folks: We will be making some ropes. The Felwinters have been dancing the blues in Vancouver for about a decade and are jazzed to share and connect with the community through touch and song. \nThe class portion of the event goes from 3 PM till 5 PM and the social gathering directly afterwards goes till 9 PM. Tickets for the class include the social event. You can also just get your social event ticket and arrive at 5 PM to dance and enjoy the evening together in a safe(r) space.

DESCRIPTION:We all are already equipped with some pretty amazing impact tools: Our bodies with all its softer and harder\, lighter and heavier parts. In this class we invite the participants to experiment with their own ‘factory-installed’ impact toys. Under the guidance of Addie\, who is mainly practicing impact play with their own body\, we will explore fundamental aspects like which body parts can be used for stingy and which for thuddy hits\, physical and emotional safety\, the use of body weight behind impact\, soft and hard surfaces\, as well as more creative ways to use our bodies for impact play. \nThis class is a great opportunity to try out these techniques. Solo participants are welcome\, and we encourage you to pair up with others or join an existing group. However\, please note that active practice for solo participants cannot be guaranteed.
