DESCRIPTION:Intro to Shibari is the first step for people interested in learning to tie with each other. \nThe emphasis of this course is to accompany the participants on their path into a joyful and safe practice of rope bondage\, Shibari/Kinbaku. We go through basic techniques\, knots & frictions\, safety and consent\, movement\, communication\, and artistic representation. Participants will be able to tie with each other in a joyful and interesting way. We understand each class as directed at both\, the person in ropes as well as the person tying. \nThis 5th Friday of the month we look at ropes that we can use for sexual encounters. We cover: \n\npractical\, simple\, and useful patterns\nefficient and smooth movement on the ground\nqueering sex. It doesn’t have to be P in V!\n\nThis class is for all constellations (solo\, pair\, trios\, etc). Individual participants can tie all patterns on themselves or pair up with others IF comfortable.

DESCRIPTION:The intimate games of how it feels. It? – that depends. Can you see it? Can you hear it? Can you smell it? Or do you just have the sensation of something on your skin. You may not know where it comes next and how long it will be. \n\n\n\nIn this class\, we will take the participants on a journey to explore various ways of playing with sensations. Not everyone experiences everything the same way\, Some things are off the table for one person but the best thing on earth for another. How to play this game in an intimate and kinky way is the point of this class. An additional focus will also be on neurodivergence and sensation play. \n\n\n\nStudio Allegory will provide plenty of different materials for the participants to try out and experiment with.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Studio Allegory’s first Queer International Rope & Kink Symposium. \nSOLD OUT – Waitlist available\nOver the period of 3 days we will have 12 workshops and classes\, 3 play parties\, and plenty of time in between to connect with other queer\, curious kinksters in our beautiful and accessible studio*. \nJoin us solo or bring your whole polycule and friends circle to experience a weekend full of exploration of kinks\, sexualities\, intimacies\, and relationships. \nYou can expect a large variety of topics taught by international and local queer presenters whose approaches veer away the old tropes and clichés of a cis heteronormative world of kink and intimacy. \nFor all the info about the symposium\, from presenters and their classes to program\, useful resources and links\, to publications after the conference\, please have a look at the symposium’s resource hub: \nQuirks Info Post\n  \nPlease note: The symposium is happening during the whole weekend. DESCRIPTION:The brain is part of your body\, come and stimulate that part by nerding out about the reasons behind. Why do ropes slide around on the body? Why do you pinch someone’s skin when you neglect Newton’s 3rd law? Why does a human resume a more comfortable position after a while? Why symmetry is not just aesthetics? What the f are memories of a future past? And why do I only have one sexuality and yet it is not mine? \nUpon multiple requests\, Georg Barkas is going to the chalk board and we will get those brain cells working. No worries\, there won’t be an exam and you can’t “fail” the class. We will be embarking on this journey into differential geometry\, quantum mechanics\, Noether theorem\, and a bit of Derrida in a fun and entertaining way. \nIn House AND Virtual Event!  \nIf you buy the virtual event ticket\, you will get a zoom link per email 24h before the class starts. Everyone\, in house participants as well as virtual participants will get access to the recording for 14 days after the event. Timezone is Pacific Standard Time.
