DESCRIPTION:Our first ever intro to k!nk jam! The April edition of the BIPOC Jam will expand on a wild spectrum of k!nk\, such as 📏impact play\, 🫟wax play\, 🪡ne*dle\, 🤼‍♀️playfight\, 🥃cupping\, and more…You are welcome here as a teacher\, a student\, or both! \nPlease note that these skillshares are for demo only. Everyone is responsible for their own safety and further learning into the practices. \n📆 Last Sunday of the month\, April 26 \, 2-6 pm \n🦋 Things to Know:\n– All levels welcome (many of our participants are newbies and we love that!)\n– This is a masked event\n– Come solo or in group\, make new rope friends!\n– Bring your ropes/toys\, some loaner ropes are available on site.\n–\n🍈 Accessibility: this space is wheel chair friendly\, with a quite room and a small kitchen for tea. \n🙏🏼 Partial proceeds will be donated to Sudan & Iran aid. \nThis series of events aims to create a safe and community-focused space for *Black\, Indigenous and Persons of Color* who loves rope. \nSee you then! \n\nAre masks mandatory? \n\n\nYes. DESCRIPTION:This month’s BIPOC Jam will be less structured and more like an open jam. Det’ele will open up the group and leave space for any topics people want to discuss and then the rest of the time will be for talking with people\, tying with people\, tying alone or tying around people. Det’ele will go over some intro rope skills if anyone wants to go over that and will be there to answer any questions rope newbies have. \nJust a reminder this rope jam is for people of the global South\, People of Colour and Indigenous\, Brown and Black people\, we love our White allies but this space is not for you. We hope to see you there! \nBring a friend!  \nTickets are PWYC with a suggestion of $15. \nAll skill levels welcome! Bring rope if you have some but some loaners will be available. Studio Allegory hosts weekly jams that are open to all and you can check them out on our website.\nI’m a BIPOC person\, but my partner isn’t\, can they still join?\nNot at this time\, this event is geared toward BIPOC folks exclusively. Be COVID-conscious: please stay home if you feel unwell and take a COVID test before arrival.\nHow accessible is the space?\nThis space is fully wheelchair accessible with no stairs. There’s a small separate area by the entrance that is designated as a Quiet Space with comfortable seats and noise blocking earmuffs. This is a scent reduced environment and an air purifier is always running. If you have any specific access needs please contact us and let us know.
