DESCRIPTION:Intro to Rope Bondage is the first step for people interested in learning to tie with each other. \nThe emphasis of this course is to accompany the participants on their path into a joyful and safe practice of rope bondage\, Shibari/Kinbaku. We go through basic techniques\, knots & frictions\, safety and consent\, movement\, communication\, and artistic representation. Participants will be able to tie with each other in a joyful and interesting way. We understand each class as directed at both\, the person in ropes as well as the person tying. \nCurriculum \n\n\n1st Friday per month: Single & Double column ties. The basic knots\n2nd Friday per month: Safety\, consent\, and pre-scene negotiation\n3rd Friday per month: Frictions and Hitches. How to keep the ropes in place\n4th Friday per month: Fundamental upper body tie – “Takate Kote”\n5th Friday per month: Wild card\n\nParticipants of the intro to rope series have free access to the open jam directly after the class.

SUMMARY:Needle & Sharps Jam
DESCRIPTION:Hosted every second Sunday of the month by Annix (O Collective). \nThe event will begin with a circle and introduction with Annix to outline safety and procedural expectations within the space. Following intro’s\, Annix will demo their latest needle technique or obsession. This segment may be filmed and photographed with only Annix and their piercing partner in the footage. \nAfter the intro and demo you’re encouraged to play\, skill share\, and innovate new pathways in your practice. If you’d like to learn more about sharps safety\, blood borne pathogens\, and potential risks\, attend one of our regular classes taught by Annix. \nNeedles\, scalpels\, hooks (not set up for suspension yet)\, knives\, staples\, and other fun sharps welcome. \nGood things to know:\n\nBring your own sharps and materials.\nClean up your own messes.\nSharps bins\, garbage bags\, a few massage tables\, and drop sheets will be provided.\nPlay within your means and know the risks before you play.\nIf you plan to do something more risky or have inquiries about the event\, email mxannix@gmail.com to discuss.
