DESCRIPTION:Intro to Rope Bondage is the first step for people interested in learning to tie with each other. \nThe emphasis of this course is to accompany the participants on their path into a joyful and safe practice of rope bondage\, Shibari/Kinbaku. We go through basic techniques\, knots & frictions\, safety and consent\, movement\, communication\, and artistic representation. Participants will be able to tie with each other in a joyful and interesting way. We understand each class as directed at both\, the person in ropes as well as the person tying. \nCurriculum \n\n\n1st Friday per month: Single & Double column ties. The basic knots\n2nd Friday per month: Frictions and Hitches. How to keep the ropes in place \n3rd Friday per month: Upper body ties with multiple ropes – “Takate Kote”\n4th Friday per month: Lower body ties – Hip harnesses\n5th Friday per month: Wild card\n\nAll classes contain various aspects of safety and consent for shibari and other play.  \nParticipants of the intro to rope series have free access to the open jam directly after the class.

DESCRIPTION:Breathing is overrated. And breathing is underrated. Playing with the breath of your partner can be absolutely mind-blowing and titillating. In this class we make sure that a) you do it with the necessary safety precautions and b) have fun with it. \nThere are definitely too many myths and semi-true infos about breath play out there and getting the education about it from a professional ultimately makes it better. \nWe will be bringing\, amongst other things\, dental floss\, gas masks and a chess set\, gloves (black latex and leather)\, one of those cheap plastic shower caps from a hotel bathroom…. straight jacket masks\, a cattle prod\, a stick of some kind\, and a mouth spreader. Also a clean handkerchief and maybe a pocket cpr mask.

This barrier free newcomer orientation helps people who are brand new to take their first steps into the fascinating world of kink. \nWhat to expect\nPart 1 — The first part is a conversation with the participants about the world of kink: Etiquette online and offline\, expectations\, dress codes at events\, possibilities and some recommendations\, especially for single folks. \nPart 2 —We go through a few of the most common kinks: bondage\, impact\, Dominance/submission\, fetishes\, etc. Participants can see how it feels to hold a flogger or be tied up. \nPart 3 — The last part is all about the open questions of the participants: Where to go from here? What to do with this or that fantasy? How to find someone to play with? And many more questions answered.

DESCRIPTION:We are hosting our monthly BIPOC rope jam! Yes\, that is the same image of soft friends. \nIt is at the wonderful Studio Allegory from 2pm-6pm. Masks are mandatory for this event and please do not come if you are feeling ill. \nThis month we will talk about intimacy in ropes. Det’ele will open up the group and lead a discussion on intimacy then the rest of the time will be for talking with people\, tying with people\, tying alone or tying around people. Det’ele will go over some intro rope skills if anyone wants to go over that and will be there to answer any questions rope newbies have. Just a reminder this rope jam is for people of the global South\, People of Colour and Indigenous\, Brown and Black people\, we love our White allies but this space is not for you. We hope to see you there! Bring a friend! \nTickets are PWYC with a suggestion of $15. \nAll skill levels welcome! Bring rope if you have some but some loaners will be available. DESCRIPTION:Intro to Shibari is the first step for people interested in learning to tie with each other. \nThe emphasis of this course is to accompany the participants on their path into a joyful and safe practice of rope bondage\, Shibari/Kinbaku. We go through basic techniques\, knots & frictions\, safety and consent\, movement\, communication\, and artistic representation. Participants will be able to tie with each other in a joyful and interesting way. We understand each class as directed at both\, the person in ropes as well as the person tying. \nThis 5th Friday of the month we look at ropes that we can use for sexual encounters. We cover: \n\npractical\, simple\, and useful patterns\nefficient and smooth movement on the ground\nqueering sex. It doesn’t have to be P in V!\n\nThis class is for all constellations (solo\, pair\, trios\, etc). Individual participants can tie all patterns on themselves or pair up with others IF comfortable.

DESCRIPTION:The intimate games of how it feels. It? – that depends. Can you see it? Can you hear it? Can you smell it? Or do you just have the sensation of something on your skin. You may not know where it comes next and how long it will be. \n\n\n\nIn this class\, we will take the participants on a journey to explore various ways of playing with sensations. Not everyone experiences everything the same way\, Some things are off the table for one person but the best thing on earth for another. How to play this game in an intimate and kinky way is the point of this class. An additional focus will also be on neurodivergence and sensation play. \n\n\n\nStudio Allegory will provide plenty of different materials for the participants to try out and experiment with.

How to keep the ropes in place \n3rd Friday per month: Upper body ties with multiple ropes – “Takate Kote”\n4th Friday per month: Lower body ties – Hip harnesses\n5th Friday per month: Wild card\n\nAll classes contain various aspects of safety and consent for shibari and other play.  \nParticipants of the intro to rope series have free access to the open jam directly after the class.

SUMMARY:Fuck Your Trauma
DESCRIPTION:Very often when people as whether it’s okay or advisable to play with trauma the answer is: don’t. Better not touch it. You will re-traumatize yourself. Wait until you’re “healed”. \nBut here’s the thing: Most of us are already doing it. Whether we are aware of it or not. \nFuck Your Trauma starts by acknowledging that trauma and kink are already in the room together. The question isn’t whether to engage with that but how to do it with more awareness\, more care\, and more curiosity. \nThis is not a workshop with answers. It’s a discussion that reframes the conversation entirely. Away from ideas of brokenness\, re-traumatization and kink as “healing\,” and toward a harm reduction approach that makes space for self-knowledge\, resourcefulness\, and genuine curiosity about what’s actually happening when we play. \nWe’ll look at this structurally\, not personally. No one will be asked to share their traumatic experiences. Instead\, we’ll explore frameworks and ideas for approaching this kind of play in an intentional way.
