Do I need a membership

No membership is needed for any events or participation. A membership just saves you money.

Can I just come by without a ticket?

Yes, but we can’t guarantee that there’s a spot available.
Please note that some events have restrictions in terms of prerequisites or other. Please check before if it makes sense for you to come.

Do I need a waiver?

Everyone who participates in social events and classes needs a release of liability. On the one hand, our insurance company requires us to have that. On the other hand it also ensures that you are a) of legal age and b) aware that your participation is associated with certain risks that we can’t control.

Do I have to sign up with my legal name, even if it’s a dead name?

No, you can sign up with the name that you choose. And we will only ever refer to that name. Please note that the release of liability (“waiver”) has to be signed with your legal name.

Do I need to bring a partner?

Unless the event description explicitly states that, e.g. for certain suspension classes, you don’t need to bring a partner. In those cases, you can still come but active participation won’t be possible.

Please note that if you come on your own, there’s no guarantee that there will be someone to pair up with for the event!

What should I wear for classes, what for events?

For classes it’s usually best to wear something that’s comfortable and allows for a wide range of movement.

For events, please wear whatever makes you happy.*
Please note that unless an event specifically states that, we can’t allow full nudity.
Please also note that we ask you to read the room before you decide to just wear a thong or your 4m diameter tentacle costume.
* check out our house rules. No uniforms depicting violent regimes, which includes police.

What are you doing about Covid and other airborne illnesses?

We invested in a large enough air filtration system

We encourage masks at all times and require masks for certain events.

Facilitators and space holders test regularly, are vaccinated, and test on the day of their event.

We offer refunds for booked tickets in case of illness to make the decision to stay at home easier.

We have implemented an online form where people can report that they may have exposed their environment on a certain day and we are relaying that information anonymously to participants.

Is your space wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the whole venue is on the ground floor and all paths and doors are wide enough to facilitate access for a wheelchair

Do you have a sign interpreter?

We don’t have a sign interpreter but we can facilitate access to our classes through closed captions on a screen during our classes. The system will be ready at the beginning of classes, please let us know if you need it and we will turn it on.

Can I rent the space for private events?

Yes. Terms and conditions* apply. Please note that some of our house rules must be followed also for private events (e.g. keeping the noise level low).

Can I rent the space for public events?

Yes. Terms and conditions* apply. Please note that we have a handful of individuals who are not permitted at Studio Allegory. If you want to host a workshop intensive, check in with us if the person you want to bring in is allowed at the venue. Please also note that some of our house rules must be followed also for private events (e.g. keeping the noise level low).
