About This Event

Intro to Shibari is the first step for people interested in learning to tie with each other.

The emphasis of this course is to accompany the participants on their path into a joyful and safe practice of rope bondage, Shibari/Kinbaku. We go through basic techniques, knots & frictions, safety and consent, movement, communication, and artistic representation. Participants will be able to tie with each other in a joyful and interesting way. We understand each class as directed at both, the person in ropes as well as the person tying.

This 5th Friday of the month we look at ropes that we can use for sexual encounters. We cover:

  • practical, simple, and useful patterns
  • efficient and smooth movement on the ground
  • queering sex. It doesn’t have to be P in V!

This class is for all constellations (solo, pair, trios, etc). Individual participants can tie all patterns on themselves or pair up with others IF comfortable.
