About This Event

Our first ever intro to k!nk jam! The April edition of the BIPOC Jam will expand on a wild spectrum of k!nk, such as 📏impact play, 🫟wax play, 🪡ne*dle, 🤼‍♀️playfight, 🥃cupping, and more…You are welcome here as a teacher, a student, or both!

Please note that these skillshares are for demo only. Everyone is responsible for their own safety and further learning into the practices.

🦋 Things to Know:
– All levels welcome (many of our participants are newbies and we love that!)
– This is a masked event
– Come solo or in group, make new rope friends!
– Bring your ropes/toys, some loaner ropes are available on site.

🍈 Accessibility: this space is wheel chair friendly, with a quite room and a small kitchen for tea.

🙏🏼 Partial proceeds will be donated to Sudan & Iran aid.

This series of events aims to create a safe and community-focused space for *Black, Indigenous and Persons of Color* who loves rope.

Are masks mandatory?

Yes. Masks are mandatory to protect the most vulnerable members of our community. There will be masks available on-site. Be COVID-conscious: please stay home if you feel unwell and take a COVID test before arrival.

Hugo (He/Him) is a queer, kinky human with a wide variety of interests and knowledge. He organizes the monthly BIPOC Jam at Studio Allegory as well as other community events.

Fine Print

Accessibility

Studio Allegory is on the ground floor and there are no steps anywhere in the space. There is a single washroom for all with a handle bar and an air hand dryer. We have unscented soap, and we run an industrial air purifier automatically. Studio Allegory has a kitchen corner with a kettle and a coffee maker, as well as a mini fridge and a microwave. Studio Allegory also has a quiet room equipped with fidget toys, colouring books, blankets, noise cancelling earmuffs, and stuffed animals. Upon request we can provide closed captions for our workshops running on a screen. We have masks for a small donation.

Cancellation & Refund

If Studio Allegory has to cancel an event: We will either refund ticket holders or transfer tickets to similar events in the future, depending on the wishes of the ticket holder.

Cancellation by participants: Cancellation before 48h prior to the start of the event entitles the ticket holder to a full refund. Between 48h and the start of the workshop, we can provide a partial refund (50% minus payment processing fees) or transfer of the ticket to a similar event in the future.

No refund or transfer can be offered for no-shows or cancellation after the event has started.
